Fluffball

Another bright day today after an early couple of showers so young neighbour Charlie and I went out to do a litter pick around the village - lots to collect after the Christmas break and a few windy days.  As usual, there were pals and total strangers to stop and chat to.

After a late lunch I've done a few jobs and then looked to the elder tree for a blip.  Lots of birds were filling up before the end of the day and the cold night forecast to come.  The little birds were fluffed up against the cold, especially this longtailed tit.

It was good to hear from Becky that their boiler is now fixed and working.  With the weather bomb which has dropped on Boston over the last couple of days, they were having to consider moving out to stay with friends last night when the temperature was due to drop below -19!
