But, then again . . . . .

Linlithgow Palace.

Productivity on the patchwork front has taken a nose-dive in the last few days since the VERY expensive sewing machine has jammed; in the meantime, she’s having to use the grotty old one with which she was once perfectly happy. After we’d visited Mr Poodle, the very well-known sewing machine engineer (he does know what he’s doing so qualifies for that exalted title), to deliver the faulty appliance, we took Merlin for a walk round Linlithgow Palace; with his three inch thick fur coat, he was quite impervious to the bitter, arctic temperatures. He did need carrying down the steps from the carpark though.

With the on-line mono challenge still on, I popped off a couple of shots suitable for conversion then We had lunch in the Burgh Hall café, selected for the purpose due to its very effective central heating system. Herself finally repaired to the local patchwork shop for yet more material (she spent over a hundred notes on some yesterday). I suppose it’s a good hobby, at least it keeps her off the streets.
