Snow place like home

This was the area we were going to get stuck today if anywhere. Thankfully, leaving an hour later than we'd originally planned meant it had stopped snowing and the roads were almost clear - Just one jack-knifed lorry in Aviemore which looked hopefully like it was the only vehicle, despite it being on the wrong side of the road.

We had an incredibly good journey with the only thing to note being me spotting a car remarkably like our neighbours on the Scottish borders. Same colour, make and model and it looked like a very similar number plate. But I couldn't be certain. They weren't back when we were but have arrived home since. Four parts were the same. Rich seemed almost impressed although he did note I was more likely to recognise a number plate and a car than our neighbours in a shopping centre!

When I thought about it, that's disturbingly accurate!

Anyway, another fabulous New Year trip. Scotland has done us proud yet again!

Oh, and, my Blip Book has arrived! Managed to make the most of a 40% discount in between coming back from Christmas and heading to Scotland. Off for a bedtime browse.

Oh oh, and, remarkably, cousin C has stayed in exactly the same cottage as we did without us knowing!
