Monks at prayer.

After a long journey we arrived in Luang Prabang, Laos,a UNESCO World Heritage listed city.This afternoon after a much needed rest we headed out and climbed the 328 steps to the highest point to watch the sunset over the Mekong river and admire the panoramic views. The night market was setting up as we came down but we didn't stop there and went to follow the sound of monks chanting in a nearby temple. The extra shows a lady setting out her wares made from salvaged weaponry with her sleeping little on oblivious to the surrounding bustle.
