Luang Prabang

A dull, sunless day when all the locals had warm clothes on.We were still in short sleeves! We spent the day on mountain bikes visiting the notable sights in this small town. I've shown a few as my blip. I walked over the bamboo bridge which has to be rebuilt every year as the river level becomes too high in the rainy season. It was quite creaky and bouncy, G stayed safely on shore! Our guide took us to the market where the locals go to do their shopping and G netted a large live fish that escaped from a bowl onto the floor.Needless to say it wasn't live for long. We also went to a silk weaving project where local women were making beautifully complicated cloth. Of course we also visited numerous temples with stunning gold statuary. Had an excellent lunch of Laos food too.
Extra is myself and our guide with the bikes.
