Seen in Lutterworth

A trip to Rugby for a meeting today and tomorrow with a night in the Travelodge in Lutterworth overnight.

Another depressingly grey, lowering, dismal day with uniformly concrete coloured clouds. As a small compensation the journey up was trouble free and I arrived well in time for the meeting.

Reported back on the outcomes then went for a long walk around and through Lutterworth and around again just to say I’d seen the town. I expect it’s better in the daylight than the impression you get walking around in the dark. There was an awful lot of traffic around but that’s what comes of walking at going home time. Saw this display of poppies on a fence, and thought they’d qualify for today’s challenge.

Ate solitary meal at the pub next door. Had turkey carvery which was good value with only two roasties and the rest vegetables. Spent a while learning how to pick on the ukulele before bedtime.
