Unit 12

Back to evening class tonight.

It was the usual combination of fun and laughs alongside brain busting grammar and tongue twisting vowels.

About half way through I realised it's actually a very good way of getting my brain out of work mode and into... something else.

Aonad a dhà dheug is what unit 12 means, a dhà dheug being "twelve'". A dha means "two" and is one of the tongue twisters. There's no sound in English like it - unless you have a nasty cough.

I think all ten of us who started in August are still there - maybe one drop out, or maybe he/she couldn't make it tonight.

Some words are easy, thank goodness. "Taxi" is tagsaidh.
