Rio Strata

Rio rock, traffic tunnel, middle-class area and favela in one shot.  This favela is a relatively quiet one behind Bairro Peixoto where we live in Copacabana.   We wouldn't go into it but it is not the scene of gun battles.  The tunnel joins Copa with Botafoga en route to the centre.

The young man from the internet company who came to assiduously fix our connection and left us with a far faster connection than contracted for, spoke of the gun fight in his area last night.  He'd love to take his two kids and wife to Canada or Australia or, first choice, Portugal.

Meanwhile, our hard time without connection is over . . . boy, was it tough!
