Meaning in Eating

On a light hearted note, I have always loved this cheap and cheerful restaurant's honesty . . . 'fresh pasta' or 'industrialised' pasta. Take your pick!   For the record, the home made fettucini with arrabiata sauce was great!

More significantly, we find eating out here has real meaning (at least for us).  We know the servings are too big for us to consume and we anticipate the satisfaction (both as giver and receiver) of the doggy bags that we invariably take out to the street and give to a houseless person or family.  We all, as humans, go in search of meaning and sometimes, if we are lucky, we find it in what we do, including late at night on the streets of Rio.
