Bracebridge Isle

Location: Bracebridge Pool, Sutton Park, Birmingham

A really misty and foggy start to the day gave me the opportunity to capture this little island.  It brings back memories of my childhood and a school visit at the end of my final primary school year to Sutton Park.  We'd just completed our 11 plus exams and we were taken out for a school excursion.

Imagine this little isle with a dozen or so 10 and 11 year olds standing on it, having swum out from a small beach from where this photograph was taken.  I can't imagine it being allowed these days!  I can't help but feel that the island has shrunk over the years (or I've grown a lot!).
