We left Takaka this morning with torrential rain. It was so heavy in the night it woke us up.

There was surface flooding on the way to Motueka and the rivers were running dirty and high.

We arrived back in Murchison to a blue sky and a hot temperature of 28 degrees C. During the time we were away we had 82 mm of rain - it was amazing to see green grass growing again - we were smiling!

I went for a wee walk on the farm tonight and took this photo of the sun setting. It was so pretty.
