Orchids - one of the two largest families of flowering plants with 28,000 species!

This Phalaenopsis orchid is sitting on my kitchen sink and a present from #1 son last week. I've back-lit it on the light pad to add more oomph to the whites and colours.

We are both still full of cold here so snuggled tonight in front of the fire with tea - as you do.
