Native Lobelia

Many people think this little flower is an orchid - and it's common name is false orchid, but it is a native lobelia Lobelia gibbosa.


A lovely walk this afternoon with the Rower and George, but very little i flower, apart from this one lone stalk.  Our prime seasons for flowers are Autumn through to Spring, and once that's over the bush goes into hibernation for the hot summer months.
