10 minutes of extreme heat

It was quite odd, wandering round the centre of Milan in incessant rain, but it was quite something. It has been a long time since I visited the city, in fact I can't even remember. The centre has hardly changed. The adventure of taking the tram into town was very exciting for the children.

We ate some stunning panzerotti (deep fried pockets of dough stuffed with a stunning filling) then it was cafe panna at cafe San Carlo.

Then the highlight of the day, quite possibly the highlight of the holiday came in the shape of an afternoon sans children at the thermal spa. It was a most generous gift from the sister in law for our 20 years together. We tried out everything we could, even in the sauna outside. oh not to mention the aperitivos, I feel positively clarified.

So despite a mild rainy day, I'll opt for the finale in the spa, 10 minutes in
