We had good weather

The weather forecast  showed that most of the UK would have pretty awful weather today. I insisted we make the most of being of being in the SE where dry and sunny was forecast and dragged Mr P out for a walk. This shot is to just rub in the fact that we had a delightful walk, the sky was blue, the sun was out and we found a nice pub for lunch on the way.  And I have found my pedometer  - 15,762 paces today.
A bit of pub history found on its website:-
The pub was built in about 1560 and called the Red Lion (still today the most popular pub name in the country) until 1867 when it was changed to the Kentish Rifleman, probably to boost its image as a militia recruitment post. Although I am thinking the picture is not  a 1867 soldier's uniform.
