Back Blip

Day three of our Rhine Cruise started in Boppard and ended in Mainz. It was the day when we sailed through the scenic Rhine Gorge and passed the spectacular Lorelei Rock. Lots of photos taken!

Mainz is the principal city of the Rhineland-Palatinate and is dominated by its Cathedral, dedicated to St Martin. While wandering through the cloisters of the Cathedral I noted this headless statue - not exactly head-less, in truth, but one where the head ain't where it ought to have been.
