I got the bus to Stenness to take some photos in the snow but it was nearly all green! A passing friend gave me a lift back to Binscarth where the woods looked 'snowy, dark and deep', or as deep as they get in Orkney. A nice walk through the wood and along the track to Wasdale. Not too much bird activity- a few redwing, goldcrest, robins, blackbirds. A pair of ravens at Wasdale Farm were probably already getting their nest ready in the conifers there. Hardly anything on the loch- a couple of tufted duck and a cormorant, bit difficult to see in the grey light and driving snow. More shots here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/?
