Inganess

I hadn't been down to Inganess Bay for a while. The tide was high and the sea calm.
I walked through the trees along Wideford Burn and saw some goldcrests, a chiffchaff and a nice male blackcap; all migrants probably, moving from Scandinavia through the islands to warmer spots down south.

On the open ground beyond the trees I flushed a snipe and a jack snipe, then saw fifty or more redwings along the bridle path that leads to Catty Maggie's Quarry.
