Loch Venachar and Ben Venue

A perfect sunny Saturday to enjoy the snow. This photograph is taken looking along Loch Venachar towards Ben Venue. I don’t think many people would have been up the hills today. It was well below freezing even at loch level though where the sun reached the snow on the trees melted. It was just beautiful and a real tonic. Into Callander for a good walk along the old railway which also looked magical in the snow. I bought a new pair of walking boots with some money I was given at Christmas. I think it’s going to be another cold night but a lot milder by next week.
