Train trip

Such a great evening last night. We had a meal at a quirky restaurant which is part of a social inclusion circus school. Tricky to explain but you can read about it here if you're interested https://socialpieces.wordpress.com/2015/12/03/chapito-arts-social-change/
Because we hadn't booked we could be squeezed in but only on a table without a view. That was fine - but after about 10 minutes we were offered to move to a table on the (indoor) terrace with a view over Lisbon. With all the lights twinkling it was just delightful. Food was great too.

This morning we set off on the train from the Art Deco Cais do Sodré station (blipped) to Cascais. It's about a 45 minute journey. There we found another quirky place for coffee and vegan/veggie/gluten free cakes. Sat outside on the roof terrace. Walked from Cascais to Estoril, the town with the famous casino which formed the basis of Ian Flemming's book Casino Royale. Had lunch outside overlooking the sea where there were yachts, surfers, swimmers and anglers. There was quite a swell (extra) but as you can see the sun was shining on us today. After lunch wandered back to Cascais via gelatos and onto a train back to Lisbon. Back in the apartment to gather thoughts then it'll be out to enjoy our last evening here.
