Snowy Lawley

We'd planned a walk up the Lawley today and were not going to be put off by the miserable rain. We decided to go, despite the weather and were soon delighted to see that the rain was turning to sleet. By the time we drove to the car park it was actual snow.

It was the most beautiful walk, eerily silent except for the sound of snow crunching under foot. After a good bit of walking, I ran up to the top on my own, looked back and could see no other people, nothing but snow and white. It was glorious. Then I slipped down and did some bum sledging for a bit.

Between the three of us there was much sighing with happiness.

Onto the pub for chips and pints and to warm up by the fire. And then a quick coffee with the Curtai.

A perfect, unexpected, snow day.
