A Romantic Night Out

This young couple arrived in style at the restaurant where we ate this evening. They had a bottle of wine delivered to their table (quite unusual for these parts, especially for a local couple) and ordered their meals. "How romantic" we thought. "Maybe he's going to propose". Then out came their phones, and not another word was spoken, even when their meals arrived.
My extra is a beautiful flower that was at the Peninsular Botanical Garden. This was an amazing place and pretty large (over 1,000 acres). There are raised canopy walkways, 18 metres above the ground so that visitors can have a real treetop experience - and it's all free of charge! Sadly it was too slippery to go on the walkway when we were there (C was really keen to go, but I'm scared of heights!). We somehow managed to arrange a "shared taxi" for the 6 mile trip back to Trang. We clambered in to find there were already 4 passengers as well as the driver, and they all looked like murderers. After 30 seconds I realised that they were actually 3 male and 1 female school students who politely all changed seats to give us oldies more room. 
C has somehow lost his glasses. He only uses them for reading since his eye op - so they are constantly off and on. Now they're permanently off!
