Could have done with these mini crampons today: tried to walk the normal route through the park and the icy patches were so slick it was impossible to get any traction. Trying to cross the last bridge was hilarious- I’d get one step towards it and then gently and serenely slide backwards down to where I started. Anyone watching would have been laughing their head off.
