The "tree"

A welcome cool start to the day but by 5pm it was up in 30s again and everyone was cooling off in the lake.
My blip shows a strange phenomenon of Wanaka, "The tree". This tree which people flock to look at and seem to almost worship started its life as a post and has been living in the lake for years. Someone had even carted their piano down to the shore and was playing music to it when l went by. Strange (she said shaking her head).
