High Severn

A lovely bright start to the day in Worcestershire today.  Lovely blue sky but cold.  One of those days when it actually feels good to be up and about early going visiting to sort out a blind, a bell and a curtain.  Now that could be an interesting story couldn't it?

This is the River Severn in Bewdley, quite high but no barriers up so presumably someone knows how much water is on its way from Wales and has determined that the flood barriers are not needed at this stage.

I might add a little to this Blip later depending on how I get on with the Social Worker who is visiting Mom.  That's the social worker who didn't know her own phone number...

UPDATE
I was very impressed with the social worker.  She was very good with Mom and Dad and was at pains to tell us all the sorts of things we may be able to access in the area and understood immediately that what was needed at this stage is a some financial support for carers to be able to come in.  She explained how the arrangements work and how things might develop so now we move onto the next stage which will be the actual financial assessment.  She also explained that although the support may seem minimal at the moment, if and when Mom's needs increase we should not have to pay any more.  So we go onwards with hope...
