Ferry crossing the Firth of Clyde

What a beautiful day.

As usual the housework can wait!  L and I headed down the coast to Largs the journey taking slightly longer than usual .... road closure and diversion but we arrived at the marina in time for coffee and a most welcome scone.

We enjoyed walking along the seafront promenade to the ferry terminal where we watched the car ferry coming and going on its journey over to Cumbrae. We continued walking along to the far end of Largs and then thought it was time to turn back and find somewhere for lunch.

By the time we were leaving to drive home the blue sky ad gone and the sun was obscured by a bank of cloud. This was our final glimpse of the ferry heading towards Largs.
