Tidal heart

And in the distance LH and Poppydog who thoroughly deserve it. This also gives an idea of how we proceed on our walks with me constantly lagging behind - not sure LH really notices but Poppydog gets a boost to her exercise by running to and fro!
We had a trip with Dad over to Aberdovey/Aberdyfi which proved to be a lovely place with a glorious, mostly empty beach. Maybe a lick of paint necessary in places but I didn't care one iota: I saw, smelt, felt the Sea. So I was very happy. I would imagine it is heavingly busy in summer and access appallingly slow down the winding road but we caught it just right (for us!).
Then we took Dad to the Centre for Alternative Technology, set up quite radically in the mid-70s and now pretty mainstream ideas - solar panels, wind turbines etc. It was also a little ragged round the edges but had a lovely feel to it, a sort of down at heel earnestness and belief that things could be so much better. I'm sure it would be prettier when there's more greenery around - we'll definitely return. And I love places where you roll up reasonably close-ish to closing (we had an hour) and they waive the entrance fee with good old honest decency. So we, of course, donated a goodly sum to a very good cause.
Beautiful, if lengthy, drives there and back through lovely sub Snowdonian scenery. The rivers were all running very high and not many sheep on them there hills. Don't blame them!
Just added some extras of the town ...
