Hovering

After borrowing an impressive lens, a Canon 70-200mm L F/4, from a friend last week while at Wisley, I set out to Guildford to day to buy one for myself.  I was on the verge of paying when the salesman dived into th shop front and bought out a 70-300 L f/4-5.6 lens, second hand and £200 cheaper. What a conundrum - aside from price it was heavier but had the longer reach.  In the end, that was the lens I went for. I headed over to Wisley to try it out - and it did not disappoint!

The butterflies were a bit livelier than my last visit, and I managed to catch this once as it headed to a hibiscus flower, providing a suitable subject for Flower Friday.  Another can be seen in extras
