Late Night

It was a tough curling game - we lost by one point in the final end - but I was happy with how our team played. We held our own in spite of being without our skip (who is on a golf vacation in warmer parts of the world). After the game, as is customary, we joined our opponents in the lounge to socialize.

This clock, belonging to the Day Ladies section, hangs in the lounge keeping time in memory of past curlers. Plaques hang alongside the clock and each year the names of the curlers on the team that finished second in the Day Ladies "Queen Bee" ladder are engraved.

After a few weeks away, the clock has just come back after having some of the inners upgraded by one of our club members. It is now keeping perfect time. Thank you, Robbie! And it also displays the evidence that the socializing carried on a little late into the evening...
