Crocuses

Crocuses already - 28 January. It's relatively very warm today - 12 degrees - and has been sunny for a while too, so the crocuses have decided its time to go for it. Others nearby are far less advanced though and I hope will conform to a more traditional timetable, and leave it for a week or two. But it's very cheering to see these. The winter hasn't been all that bad, but I've found it pretty trying at times, mostly to do with the long hours of darkness, which I'm finding increasingly challenging these days. Of course, if we lived farther north it would be even worse, so I shouldn't complain too much.
