Swerving Round The Snowdrops

A photographically productive walk around our neighbour's lake in the sunshine. As I strolled along the southerly bank this small herd of fallow deer bounded up the slope, along the bank and then down towards the brook. I didn't notice the snowdrops until I looked at the image on screen.

Then a pair of herons flew up from the gum tree on the island and I got great shots of them. Shortly after that a little egret took flight and I captured it as it flew over our southerly boiler chimney and landed in one of our ash trees. I see lots of these birds at the reserves but it's the first time I have seen one at the lake and on our property. I also got my first zebra jumping spider image of 2018. :)
