Mono Monday . . . Technology

I been waiting to use this object for blip since it was given to the forester as a leaving gift when he retired in 2016.  It is tail rotor of an Iroquois helicopter.  Having just been in a helicopter I know that all the pieces of technology that make it able to fly are essential.  One of the foresters management tasks was weed spraying logged areas so the baby trees could be planted.  The helicopter company he worked with used an Iroquois for weed spraying.  Long booms were attached to the helicopter.  They presented him with this tail rotor mounted on a piece of pine wood.  He was chuffed that they had gone to the effort.  It makes a conversation piece for visitors.
Another hot day and I have finished the garden tidy up and really, really enjoyed the swim at the beach that followed.
