Sticklebacks

I am a proud member of the Sticklebacks - a sub-division of my cycling club. We have the privilege of all (4 of us) falling off our bikes into a canal and being fully immersed. And living to tell the tale.

Ron had painstakingly made a trophy which you can see in the extra depicting a cyclist crashing into the waves, complete with life belt. The water is painted an alluring blue which isn't my recollection from the time I went in. 

This was at the club awards ceremony and our medals, also designed by Ron, were the most coveted prize available. I shall treasure mine next to my London Marathon and Geneva to Nice medals.
