At 4.45pm today the moon rose over the hills above Loch Eck - is it a day away from being a full moon? I thought there was a wee slice off the lower left of the disc ...

A day at once strenuous and peaceful, beginning with Pilates and ending with this walk through our favourite gardens, noting the fallen tree broken off at its roots by wind and weight of leaves - it's some kind of evergreen from far away, showing why broadleaf evergreens aren't such a good idea in our climate. Little in the way of thought or stress required, unless we count the exertions of both parts of the day.

And now I'm hungry...
