Torea Pango....

..... the black oyster catcher which is found on NZ beaches running all over the sands. He is noisy but in his own group quite gregarious. When l see them at the beach l know am home.
We are now in Nelson and will spend the next 3 weeks here using it as a base to potter about the top of the South Island.
