Buttoned Up

It was surely no coincidence that the Flumlet chose to play with the button strips, placing a necklace of them round our necks, then insisted on the story called Pete the Cat's Groovy Buttons. He does enjoy repeating the words and counting the buttons as they pop off Pete's shirt.

Mr Flum did the honours while I was busy demonstrating knitting by making a mouse, using the pattern from the Knit Your Own Pet book, a gift from Miss Flum a couple of years ago. The Flumlet took the unfinished article to show at nursery; it hadn't even been stitched up. While he was there, I managed to forage for the requisite items to complete it to show when we collected him. At home afterwards we added the eyes, nose and whiskers, to become the final version, which appears as an extra.

A busy day but great fun.
