Akroydon

Akroydon is a Victorian-era model village in Halifax.
Built in 1859 and onwards, it was to house the workers at Colonel Edward Akroyd's mills.  The plan was to build 350 houses, but only 90 were built.
Eric Portman, actor of stage and screen was born in Akroydon in 1901 (before my time) :-)
Wide Angle Wednesday - Urban.
