Eating a Plucker

A cold day, windy and showers most of the day, and night too.

As the party from last night was coming to an end, I was getting for work.  Lerwick Up Helly Aa continues tonight also, Hop Day!  A walk about town before work, and saw some strange sights, and then headed to work in the museum.  It was a quiet start, but it soon filled by lunchtime, and been another busy day.  A lazy evening at home, but off to work in the pub later.

There can't be many museums that have a resident otter in the dock, and it's been a while since I last saw this peerie guy.  Today he was happily munching lunch, a tasty plucker (short spined sea scorpion).  I liked this shot, getting to see those sharp and fearful teeth, as he crunches the head of the fish.  He's a friendly chap, and didn't mind me being there.  Taken at Hay's Dock, Lerwick.
