The Birds.

No not as in Alfred Hitchcock but as in the Jackdaws that have for the last couple of years invaded my dovecote! They are noisy, constantly raid my bird feeder and are generally very noisy and over powering. Today however, before the nesting season has begun, we have wired over the Dovecote so NO MORE JACKDAWS!! Hoorah!!

Farming - The boys Rusty and Joshy had a day around the farm doing lots of small but essential jobs. Wiring over dovecote and cleaning out gutters all over the place was the priority. We could only do this with aid of a proper cage which we managed to borrow for the day. Boys also removed my huge dead rose bush too. So a good day all round.

Mr Tbay was closeted most of the morning with an Insurance agent who is preparing a quote for us. Insurance costs a great deal of money every year and if some can be shaved off the bill it is always good, however you have to weigh it against the service you get from the company too! Much to think about.

Extras today - Boys in the cage , stable ready for me to muck out, the hens in their new quarters for the moment and two shots of Ritz , Little Miss’s pony.
