Calne (Friday 2nd February 2018)

I went back to Castlefields Park this afternoon especially to re-photograph the snowdrops, since it is Flower Friday, and I found them again, but the Universe kept throwing distractions at me. First a pair of squirrels kept posing for me (one is in Extras), then I saw a heron on the river while a wren flew along the riverbank, and then, after I had photographed the snowdrops and wandered up to the church (also in Extras), I saw Eric on the tower.
I had my superzoom camera with me, and a falcon trumps snowdrops, so here we are.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Jackie and the Starlites - Valarie (1960)
This also appears on The Finbarr Golden Treasury Of Doo Wop Volume 11, which I was still reviewing on this day. Jackie Rue was a histrionic performer in the mode of James Brown at his most excessive. The song was taken up by Frank Zappa for the Mothers Of Invention's Burnt Weeny Sandwich album.
