Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Listen

surf, shingle and sky
washing over the gulls' cries
listen for the train

A few minutes quiet reflection at the beach in Abergele as I wait for my train home, looking west down the coast toward Penmaenbach.

We said goodbye to Auntie Viv, my Dad's eldest sister: teacher, horticulturist, local historian and so much more. My cousins had put together a fine tribute in words and photos (extra); she'd achieved and witnessed so much in her ninety six years. She will be much missed by her sisters, children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
