Looking Forward

We spent the afternoon with Ken's widow which is a very strange term to use.  I'll just use her name, Roseanne.  She is seen here with Ken's son Adrian.  They both share an interest in painting.  They are looking at a book of works by an artist Roseanne admirers.  Their future plans are to meet in Taupo and paint.  The forester has invited her to come and stay with us and they can go fishing or tramping in the hills.
The morning didn't start very well with the lovely daughter coming in to tell us my car which was parked on the road overnight had had the drivers window smashed in.  The antisocial persons responsible had lifted a grate from the street and used it and then left it beside the car.  The son in law found us a second hand window and fitted it.  He also got an industrial vacuum from his work to suck out the glass.  By the late afternoon the window was in place and goes up and down again.  My car is in the driveway tonight and their car is on the street parked a little further away.  Hopefully there will not be a repeat of such activity.  Nothing was stolen from the car although there wasn't much in it anyway.  A little more drama that we needed but all fixed now.
