Westport Beach towards Machrihanish

7.2C with a few showers, but mostly sunny spells. Moderate NW/NNW breeze.

Apothecary7's day off.

We went to Westport beach and walked along the sand towards Machrihanish. We had the beach all to ourselves. Fergus was running about. On the way back to the car park people had arrived and were walking along. There was one surfer heading along the beach to pick his spot to go into the water.

Before coming home we went up to Glenbarr and went into the shop. Trying to get Fergus used to the places we go so he might not bark or howl if we leave him in the car. We were talking to the lady in the shop and she told us that when the better weather comes Fergus can join us in the hothouse if we want to have coffee or lunch there, and of course on good days we can sit outside once the outdoor tables have been brought out of their winter store.

It is the first weekend of the 6 nation rugby union.
