a lifetime burning

Wet, wet and more wet

Its been raining all day today without let up.

I didn't want to take an indoor shot, so I popped into the soggy garden to grab a shot of the hydrangea -which I think looks better at this time of year than in the summer.  Leaving the flowers on the plant also provides places for insects etc to hide which in turn help to feed the birds.

Cathy has a Gardner who comes once a week for an hour, which really helps with keeping on top of the garden.  One year, in a fit of tidying up he cut the hydrangea down whilst it was still winter.  It certainly looked tidy, but not in a good way!

Tomorrow is due to be cloudy, but dry, and you never know we might get the occasional glimmer of sunshine - we can but hope :-)
