Most beautiful morning - frosty and dead calm.

I was down at the pier for the first ferry and took this photo while waiting for the new dance teacher to arrive. He is coming over from the Mainland every Sunday and will teach classes in 3 Orkney venues, one being our village hall. Jive and waltz. 

I have always wanted to learn to jive, so couldn't let this opportunity pass by. By the end of the lesson the messages didn't seem to be getting through from my brain to my feet. But it was good fun and we are assured it will become easier week by week...
Has to be worth trying.

Evening dancing was good, as always, but lots of weary bodies by 10pm, mine included!
