Urban landscaping

In a few places in the area, there have been efforts to add plants to the mostly concrete environment. These ones have survived better than many others. I thought about removing the plastic from the shot, but then decided to record the scene exactly as I found it.

By the time I walked past again on my way home, all the pavement from just beyond the plants to the end of the road had been dug up. It's now all lumps of broken up concrete and tarmac.
