Iberian grey shrike

I couldn't book a tour round the Coto Donana reserve because it was off-season, but we enjoyed visiting the places that are open to the public, where there are good boardwalks and hides. Apart from at the 'Mother of Marshes' next to El Rocio water levels were pitifully low and clearly had been for some time. The wetlands at La Rocina only had a few mallard, coots and storks but this shrike was sitting helpfully in front of one of the hides.
