Today we skied away from the house and down to our local lake. There's something rather special about putting your skis on in the garden and heading off!
The snow has settled a little so even when we were making our own track, as here, we didn't sink in too far.  We managed to stay in the sun all the way out and at least half the way back.  I didn't think the sun had much warmth but when it went down, and my nose hairs went crispy, I realised I was wrong!
Later, in the evening we went to town and saw "Darkest Hour". Some excellent performances and camera work and I'd agree with the generally favourable reviews.
