Winter Aconite

One of the things I like about this time of the year is watching for the signs of spring as the season gathers pace.  Being Thursday I was spending it with Kanyl.  As you can tell from the shot it was a wet day.  In one of the drier spells I had a wander round his garden.  The choice of blips ended up as Crocus or Aconite.  As I had blipped Crocus recently I went for the Aconite.

Aconite are early flowering (late January to early March and provide a lovely splash of colour on dark wet days.
