A lively and productive morning meeting followed by more report writing left my head feeling frazzled. About 3pm the sun appeared so I went for a very refreshing walk round the Rowing Lake.
The light was gorgeous - all the willows are in their golden spring finery, making beautiful reflections on the water. I watched our local pair of great crested-grebes fishing - the female caught a rather large roach and just about managed to swallow it. This is the male, who came obligingly close to the shore, looking perfectly groomed for the breeding season.
This evening I produced a display for a meeting I'm attending tomorrow, though I think the finishing touches will need to be done in the morning!
